Question: What happens to my past invoices, in case I change either my address or bank account number in my profile settings? Further more, what happens if the client changes the address and all the past invoices include the old one?
Answer: Nothing is changed. All the old invoices remain the same.
Although the explanation seems simple, it is more complicated than you think. As soon as you create a new invoice, the system takes a snapshot of all your details as well as the details of your client. After this, the information from the snapshot are transferred into the particular invoice and afterwards do not change (unless you modify them manually).
Therefore, if you modify your profile details or the clients change theirs, it has no effect on your past invoices. As a result, you do not have to worry about your previous invoices as they remain unchanged and valid.
